The Student Success Center (SSC) is dedicated to providing academic and technological support to all Benedict students to promote student retention and graduation. Through its integrated services, the SSC provides both group and personalized instructional assistance designed to develop the academic and personal skills needed for collegiate success. The unit offers services that are appropriate for students at all levels of matriculation, from first-year to senior-level students.
HOURS: M-F 8:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m & SUN 1:00 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Director, James Winfield
Mr. Winfield provides oversight over all SSC operations, triages academic concerns, manages emergency aid fund and leads institutional retention strategies.
Assistant Director, Wanja Montgomery
Ms. Montgomery assists in SSC operations and manages early alert referrals and academic recovery efforts.
Success Specialist, LaTash Adams
Ms. Adams provides academic counsel for students in Business and Entrepreneurship and leads the administration and management of career and success inventories.
Success Specialist, Marcus Campbell
Mr. Campbell provides academic counsel for students in Education Health and Human Services and supports first-year initiatives such as Welcome Week and the Freshman Institute Leadership Academy.
Success Specialist & Tutoring Coordinator, Rashad Paige
Mr. Paige provides academic counsel for students in Arts and Sciences and manages the BC tutoring program.
Success Specialist, Scarlotte Suber
Ms. Suber provides academic counsel for students in Arts and Sciences and supports transfer student initiatives.
Instructional Support Specialist, Timothy Diggs
Mr. Diggs provides direct IT support for the SSC and one-on-one support for students who need assistance with E360 (learning management system), Microsoft Outlook and Tiger Portal accounts.
