JOB TITLE:  Lead Clerk

SUPERVISOR’S TITLE:  Business Development Center Manager

OPERATING HOURS: Monday-Friday (Closed every Wednesday) 9:00 am until 4:00 pm, Saturday 10:00 am until 6:00 pm

SALARY: $15.00 per hour

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Lead Retail Store Clerk will oversee the daily retail marketplace operations.  The lead Clerk will be responsible for opening and closing of the store.  Assisting the vendors and student interns with questions and concerns as it relates to the Retail Marketplace Incubator.  The position with maintain cashier duties and manage student interns and track service-learning hours.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • The lead clerk will be responsible for opening and closing the store.
  • Coverage to include greeting and directing shoppers, answering store telephone & general office duties.
  • Retail clerk will maintain all student hours to be turned into store managers every week.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Assist all vendors, student vendors and alumni vendors with questions and concerns on be half of the Retail Marketplace Incubator.
  • Retail clerk will maintain communication with Benedict College facility maintenance on the upkeep and cleanliness of the store.
  • Utilize Point of Sale (POS) system and generate settlement report for accounting.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Arrive for scheduled work hours promptly and remain for duration.
  • Adhere to dress code
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
