IT Consultant (Apple)

The IT Consultant is primarily responsible for supporting all the college Apple Desktop and Laptop Mac devices to include OS installations, OS Break-Fix Issues, Application Installations and Troubleshooting, Hardware Installations, Hardware Break-Fix Issues, Encryption Administration, Network administration, Anti-Virus Administration and Remote Management for Apple Devices.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Work with faculty, staff, students, and vendor to resolve complex problems and ensures customer
  • Experience supporting Apple Macintosh devices within an Enterprise Active Directory environment.
  • Provide support and maintenance of MAC hardware, Apple mobile products, Applications, Pro Applications, and OS.
  • Resolve incidents and problems associated with Apple products.
  • Perform reactive troubleshooting to effectively identify potential incidents or problems, and attempt to eliminate them to occur in the future.
  • Perform installation, configuration, upgrade, repair, and preventative maintenance on software, hardware, and/or systems related to Apple and Mac products.
  • Provide Apple product troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair on (but not limited to) Microsoft based products.
  • Provide support to end-users regarding technical inquiries.
  • Utilize college incident management systems to track and report on service calls and requests.
  • Management of MDM software JamF or similar product.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

Experience in all Mac Products (iMac, Mac Mini, Mac Pro, Mac Book).

Experience in all Mobile Products (iPhone, iPAD, and iPAD mini).

Experience in software (Apps, Pro Apps, and iOS).

Experience with Jamf.

Extensive knowledge of Mac product installations, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, operating systems, upgrading, and recovery solutions.

Experience with using audio/visual software.

Comptia or Apple certifications preferred.

Microsoft 365 and Office

Active Directory Networking – Wifi,TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
