Accessing Microsoft Teams

One of the goals of the Student Success Center (SSC) is to offer quality tutorial services to Benedict College students. This will continue to take place during this time of remote instruction we are experiencing at Benedict College. To meet the need of tutoring services we will offer online tutoring conducted through the Microsoft Teams Application with is connected to your Benedict College email address also know as Outlook. When you submit your Tutoring Request Form; Mr. Rashad Paige (Tutoring Coordinator) will add you to the BC-SSC Tutoring Team. You will be scheduled with a tutor based upon the availability of the tutor and the time requested.

Accessing Microsoft Teams:

  1. Sign into Microsoft Outlook using your Benedict College email address. Once you have logged into Outlook please look in the left corner of your screen and look for the dotted box which is the App Launcher.
  2. Click on the App Launcher and click on the app called Teams.
  3. Sign in using your Benedict College credentials.
  4. You will receive tutoring via video conferencing on your scheduled day and time.

If having trouble following the steps above, please view this short tutorial video on accessing Microsoft Teams below.  Notes: It is highly encouraged that you use a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam to receive tutoring via video conferencing. If you cannot use a laptop or desktop with a webcam the Teams app is available in the Apple App store as well as the Google Play store so your cell phone may also be used for your tutoring sessions.
