Miss Capital City Classic Pageant

On Wednesday, September 7, 2005, the Second Annual Miss Capital City Classic was held at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Columbia, SC.  Three Benedict College students competed in the pageant. Nadia J. Muhammad, a Junior, Mass Communication Major from Atlanta, GA was crowned Miss Capital City Classic 2005; Tiarra Johnson, A Freshman, Marketing Major from Ridgeway, SC, finished as 2^nd Runner-up; and Savannah Wright, a  Sophomore, Marketing Major from St. Matthews, SC did not place, however, she did a great job and represented the college well.

Other contestants were Anaja Barksdale, a Junior, Comm. Arts & Journalism Major at Johnson C. Smith University from Charlotte, NC; Tormora Carson, a Freshman, Nursing Major at Midland Technical College from Columbia, SC; and Andrea Young, a Junior, Business Management/Marketing Major at University of South Carolina from Mauldin, SC, who finished as 1^st Runner-up.
