Dr. Sean Daniels

Dr. Daniels is a graduate of Alabama State University, Ohio State University and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. As a musician he has performed with a variety of artists and ensemble such as the Virginia Beach Symphony, World Jazz, Lou Rawls, Kenny Garrett, Carl Allen, Rufus Reid, Brian Gardner, Greg McPherson and others.   Dr. Daniels has served as a guest lecturer for the 2005 Percussive Arts Society International Convention held in Columbus, Ohio. He appeared as an artist/clinician for the first annual 2005 HCBU Band Directors National Consortium held in Atlanta, Georgia, and he is the recipient of a 2005 and 2006 ASCAP Plus composition award. Dr. Daniels currently serves Benedict College as Director of Bands and Chair of the Fine Arts Department. He is also the founding director of The Standard.
