About admissions

Thank you for your interest in attending Benedict College!  The Office of International Programs is here to answer your questions regarding admissions and the application process. Benedict College gives serious consideration to every applicant who is committed to taking full advantage of the opportunities the College provides to obtain a college education.  A large number of inquiries are received each year from international students seeking to pursue a bachelor’s degree at the College.  Our goal is to help make your Benedict experience from admissions to graduation an enjoyable success.

International admission to Benedict College is competitive. The overall strongest applicants are selected from a group of highly qualified pool of prospective applicants from all over the world.  The OIP Admissions committee selects students who are the most likely to contribute substantially to their academic or professional fields through teaching, research, and professional service. Additionally, enrolling an academically qualified, diverse student body is essential to the College’s mission. The academic and social environment of the campus is greatly enhanced, and our educational, leadership, and cultural programs prepare our students to be Powers for Good in a global community.

Benedict College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to award baccalaureate degrees.  Seven Benedict College programs/majors have earned national accreditation. For questions about the accreditation of Benedict College, contact the Commission on Colleges at 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia, 30033-4097 or call 404-679-4500.
