Benedict College School of Honors Wins Several Titles at the 2009 NAAAHP Conference

Columbia, SC--The Benedict College School of Honors brought home several awards from the 2009 NAAAHP (National Association of African American Honors Programs Conference) held Nov. 11-14, at the Eden Roc Renaissance Beach Resort & Spa, in Miami Beach Florida.
The 18th Annual NAAAHP Conference was co-hosted with Florida Memorial University. More than 30 HBCU's from across the southeast participated in the conference. This year's conference paid homage to those who paved the way for African Americans with the motto: Making the Impossible Possible.
Congratulations to Dr. Warren Robinson, who won the 2009 NAAAHP award for Outstanding Honor's Director. Benedict College debate team claimed victory as they prevailed over their semi-final competitor South Carolina State University, and their final competitor North Carolina Central University.
The Benedict College debate team reign as the champion of over eight teams, bringing home the 1st place prize. Continuing with great delight from all participants at this conference, Benedict College student Mr. Jason Reed was elected as the 2009 NAAAHP Student Vice President. With all of these outstanding accomplishments the Benedict College School of Honors looks forward to an even greater year at next year's NAAAHP Conference.
