Date Posted/Updated: November 8, 2007 Benedict College International Students present research papers at Howard UniversityColumbia, SC- On Thursday, November 8, 2007, Ana Maria Bermudez, Paola Mosquera, Ana Angela Tobar, Jhojan Sinisterra, Julio Richardson, Keidy Mendoza, and Baldwin Thomas presented research papers at Howard University's Department of Modern Language and Literatures Student Research Conference at the Ralph Bunche International Affairs. The student's topics ranged from African American, Afro-Latins to Hispanics in the 21 Century, Women Rights, Immigration in the United States of North America, and Ethnicity and Identity. The students were selected by Dr. Norma Lozano Jackson, Director of International Programs, who was the keynote speaker at the conference. The conference was conducted in Spanish with simultaneous translations into English. After the conference, the group attended two receptions at Howard University. The Benedict group closed their trip to Washington, DC with a visit to the Embassy of Venezuela in Washington, DC. ## |
