Benedict College is governed by a self-perpetuating Board of Trustees. The Board makes a conscious effort to be as representative as possible and includes among its members qualified individuals representing higher education and the church, as well as business and community leaders and student, faculty, and alumni members. The Board is assisted in its work by several standing committees.

The President of the College is the Chief Executive Officer of the College. He is appointed by the Board of Trustees and is charged with the day-to-day operation of the College. In carrying out his duties, the President is assisted by eight (8) principal administrators: the Executive Vice President; the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs; the Vice President for Business and Finance; the Vice President for Community Development; the Vice President for Institutional Advancement; the Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness; the Vice President for Student Affairs; and Special Assistant to the President for Special Projects.
