Dameon Terry (Senior of Greenwood, SC) was outstanding at the NCAA Division II South Regional Track & Field Championships 2008 in winning both the Men Shot Put and the Men Hammer Throw events with a distance of 13.32m and 43.98m, respectively. Also, David Wheeler (Senior of Sarasota, FL) finished 3rd place in the Men 110 Meter Hurdles with a time of 15.38.
Women:
BC Track & Field Team, Women finished in 4th place with 80 points in the 2008 SIAC Track & Field Championship.
Irine Chepkoech had another stellar performance as she scored the most points of all competitors in running events with 30. She was named the SIAC Women's Track Most Valuable Performer.
Men:
BC Track & Field Team, Men finished in 3rd place with 164 points in the 2008 SIAC Track & Field Championship.
Oneil Williams dominated the track events winning the 800m, 10,000m Run, 1500m Run, 5000moneil.jpg Run and finishing second in the 3000m Steeplechase, to score 48 points. Williams was named the SIAC Track Most Valuable Performer. He also received the Cleve Abbott Award given to the athlete that scores the most points in the SIAC Track & Field Championships.
