Tiger Tennis Experience Close Encounters at the SIAC Tennis Roundup #1 in Tuscaloosa

The Benedict Tigers Men and Women's Tennis Teams completed the first SIAC Tennis, South Region head to head matchups against conference competitors: Stillman, Tuskegee, Fort Valley, LeMoyne Owens, Lane, Albany State, Clark Atlanta and Morehouse.

The Women's Tennis Team finished the weekend of conference play with a match record of 4-3, while the Men went 2-4, in the first meeting of SIAC Conference Tennis competitors. The #1 Women's Doubles team of Deandra Reasonover and Jessica Carswell compiled a 6-1 weekend record, continuing to show force in the conference battles. DeAndra Reasonover, a senior from Toledo, Ohio also holds s a 5-1 singles record at the #1 position in conference play. Chloe Jean-Charles and India Cowell were 4-3 at #2 Doubles for the weekend. Tiffany Bell held her spot #5 with a 4-1 in singles.

In men's play, the Tigers took on strong conference matchups but came away with good matches and an idea of matchup for the upcoming roundup in Memphis. At #1 Doubles, Avery Coins and Timothy Thornton were 4-2, as were the #2 Doubles team of Darreus Wheeler and Giovanni Plater in conference play.
