Benedict Women take 2 Doubles and 5 Singles Matches in Sweep over Fayetteville State

The Lady Tigers picked up their second victory of the year with all seeds playing their steady games in competitive matches and winning in straight sets for a 5-0 match score. At #1 Doubles, the team of DeAndra Reasonover and Jessica Carswell rolled to an 8-1 win over Varice Love and Brittany Williams. In the #2 Doubles, the pair of Chloe Jean-Charles and India Cowell equaled the effort with an 8-1 victory over Chloma Okwara and Tiane Ellis. In singles play, #1 DeAndra Reasonover accomplished her first win of the season with a hard fought 6-4, 6-4 edge over Varice Love. Chloe Jean-Charles was challenged in the second set but clinched an 8-6 tiebreaker to finish her match with a 6-2, 7-6 (8-6) win at #2 singles against Brittany Williams. Jessica Carswell, with her second strong win at #3 and India Cowell, with her second win also at #4 singles, rolled to identical 6-1, 6-1 match victories over C. Okwara and Tiane Ellis respectively. Tiffany Bell got her first win at the #5 singles position with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Danielle Boone. The Lady Tigers are 2-1 on the season.
