The Lady Tigers Tennis Team push through to a 5-4 victory over the Savannah State University

The Lady Tigers' matched Savannah State to the wire with clinching their first victory of the season. Down one set and down in the second set with the team match tied at 4-4,  India Cowell  made a decisive comeback drive with steady stroking to overcome Lauren Daniels 5-7, 7-5, 10-6 at #4 Singles to get that wing and lead Benedict to a 5-4 win. SIAC Freshman of the Year, Sophomore Jessica Carswell made quick work at #3 singles with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Shannon Howard. At # 2 singles, Chole Jean-Charles stepped up to her All-Conference skills and dispatched Chandel McDonie, 7-6 (8-6), 6-1. For the #1 singles, Deandra Reasonover was edged in a good contest in the third set tie-breaker 6-4, 3-6, 8-10. Tiffany Bell was working hard but fell 6-0, 6-3 at #5 singles. The doubles teams found their All-Conference games as #1 seeded DeAndra Reasonover and Jessica Carswell defeated Sandra Kristjansdottir and Davita Washington 8-6, while #2 doubles seed Chloe Jean Charles and India Cowell topped the team of Chandel McDonie and Shannon Howard 8-6.
