BC Men and Women's Tennis Begin Season

The Men and Women's Tennis Teams faced USC-Aiken for the season opener. The men challenged the top 25 team but came up short. For the Men at #1 Doubles, Avery Coins and Timothy Thornton loss to the team of Lucas Gobbi and Juan Guglielmeti in a competitive match 8-4; and at #2 Doubles, Darreus Wheeler and Deangelo Smith fell to Ben Klaas and Josh Rees 8-1.  In the singles, Avery Coins played a great match to the edge but came up short 7-5, 6-3 at #1. First year players, #2 Darreus Wheeler and #3 Thornton, loss tough matches at 6-3 and 6-3, 6-2, 6- 2 respectively.

In the Women's contest, the USC-Aiken Pacers shut down the Lady Tigers in singles and doubles. In doubles, Dandra Reasonover and Jessica Carswell loss a good match at 8-3 and Chloe Jean-Charles and India Cowell loss 8-1. In the singles, the #1, 2, and 3 and 4 singles fell at 6-0, 6-2 scores.
