Benedict Tigers Men and Women's Tennis host University of West Alabama

The Tigers and Tigerettes fell to regionally ranked University of West Alabama in a regional matchup.

The women's team played tough matches throughout the competition but lost 7-2. Ayana Martin was the player of the day as she managed a 1-6, 7-5, (10-6) win at #5 singles and teamed with Paola Lopez in winning at #3 doubles 8-6.

In the Men's matchup, West Alabama downed the Tigers 8-1 in overall matches. The bright spot in the men's matches saw Avery Coins knock back James Gardner 6-4, 6-3 at the #1 singles position to continue his regional status in men's singles. Coins and Calloo played a tough match at #1 doubles but came up short at 8-4.
