Benedict vs. South Carolina State Men and Women

On Sunday the Men and Women's Tennis teams began their season against Div. I opponent South Carolina State Univ. in Orangeburg, S.C. It was the first meeting of the two teams in 6 years. The Bulldogs' s MEAC champion lineup proved to be too tough in both the men and women's matches as they cruised to 8-0 victories against the Tigers and lady Tigers. DeAndra Reasonover provided the bright spot for the fans at the #1 position as she pulled out an exciting first set 7-6(7-4) in her 3 set lost to Farri Friscka of the Bulldogs. For the men Avery Coins and Jason Calloo played tough matches but came up short in points at the#1 and 2 seeds. Overall the challenge was set to to persue the next level of tennis for the rest of the season.
