BC vs. Savannah State University

On Saturday Feb.16th, the Tiger Women's Team faced the visiting Savannah State Tigers on campus at the Laurel Street tennis courts.  This match was set for 2 doubles and 4 singles.  Because of a shortened Savannah line-up, Benedict was awarded the #3 doubles and the #5 and #6 singles matches. In doubles play, DeAndra Reasonover and Lauren Smith played at #1 and defeated Angela Palmer and Shawanda McClain (8-1). At #2 doubles, Ayana Martin partnering with Shani Jones, cruised through their match with an 8-0 wins to give Benedict a 2-0 lead.

In the singles play, at #1 DeAndra Reasonover won over Angela Palmer  (6-1, 6-1), #2 Paola Lopez defeated Chantasia Bridges  (6-2, 6-1), #3 Lauren Smith defeated Shawanda McClain 6-1, 6-0 and Anna Lee Clarke defeated Rama Malden (6-4, 6-1) to give the Benedict Tigerettes a 9-0 match victory.
