2011 SIAC Golf Classic (Augusta, GA)

On April 18 - 20, 2011, the Benedict College Tigers Men's Golf Team competed in the SIAC Golf Championship at Jones Creek Golf Club in Augusta, GA. After three rounds of competition, the Tigers finished with a solid second place behind Morehouse College. After the first round, the Tigers were trailing Morehouse College and had only a 6 shot lead over Kentucky State. After round two, Benedict had increased their lead over Kentucky State to 33 shots. At the conclusion of the tournament, the Tigers secured second place with a strong showing from junior Anthony Wik and freshman Jordan Buchanan. Wik shot 78-76-78 which was good enough for a second place as an individual which also secured his spot in the SIAC All-Tournament Team as well as SIAC All-Conference Team. Jordan Buchanan, the SIAC Freshman of the Year, shot 86-81-77 which was good enough for a spot in the SIAC Second Team All-Tournament. The results for the tournament are as follows:
