2009 SIAC Football Players of the Week (BC)

Defensive Player of the Week: Michael Thompson – Benedict (Sr, LB, 6-0, 220, Springfield, OH) Had 10 tackles (2 solo), one interception, three tackles for losses, a force fumble and a pass break-up while anchoring the Tigers to a 24-13 victory over Concordia in the Inagural Miami-Dade Classic.
Honorable Mention Performances: Pat Riley - Rushed for 114 yards on 16 carries and passed for 75 yards to anchor Benedict College's offense in the Tiger's 24-7 victory over Concordia. Anthony Davis - The first-year starter had four tackles, one for a loss and returned one of two of his interceptions for a 28-yard score to break the game to open in Benedict's 24-13 victory over Concordia. Jamal Henry - Henry anchored Benedict's rushing attack which scored two touchdowns in the first half and graded out 95 percent, while allowing no sacks in the Tiger's 24-7 win over Concordia in the Inaugural Miami-Dade Classic.
