Montgomery
Coach
Montgomery started his first season in 2003 as
Coach Hendrick's Assistant Head Coach at Benedict.
The previous 6 years found Montgomery coaching at
the high school level in Alabama and Mississippi.
During those 6 years he has helped develop a number
of NFL and Division I athletes. Montgomery also helped
develop Stillman College's offensive line at the
start of their program. He brings to Benedict a worth
of knowledge in track and field having won a state
championship as well as having a number of his athletes
receive scholarships while coaching in Alabama.
Montgomery
started his coaching career at his alma mater Mississippi
State University where he was in charge of Football
Operations for three years, during which time he
completed his master's degree in Athletic Administration.
This position gave him an opportunity to be around
some of the most respected names in football including
Coach Hendrick, as well as names such as Tony Dungy,
Joe Lee Dunn, and Woody McCorvey to name a few.
Coach
Montgomery played football at Mississippi State University
where he was a four year letterman at offensive line
for Coach Jackie Sherrill. Montgomery played at least
one snap at every position on the offensive line
during his career.
Montgomery
hails from Okolona, Mississippi where he was an All-American
football player and a state champion shot putter
in track. He and his wife Keisha have one daughter,
Kylah.
