Earnest
J. Wilson, III
Football
and education have dominated Earnest Wilson's life.
Coach Wilson has taught, coached and studied from
Texas Tech to Penn State; from University of Maine
to Alabama A & M. Prior to coming to Benedict, he was the Jacksonville Tomcats Head Coach and
Director of Football Operations since the fall of
2001.
He
is the winningest coach in the af2 (Arena Football
League) with 23 wins.
Earnest
is a graduate of Texas Tech University in Lubbock,
Texas where he received B.S. degree as well as a
double major in Masters of Education. Further studies
include Sports Psychology from Penn State.
His
coaching career highlights are a NCAA-III national
championship with Allegheny College in 1990 and while
at Penn State his team became the 1993 Citrus Bowl
Champions.
Wilson
has brought new talent into both the coaching staff
and the players. He has set a high standard for his
team and expects his players to be professionals
both on and off the field.
