Football Team Members to Visit Victims

Seven members of the Benedict College football team will visit victims of the bombing of the Pentagon at the Washington Hospital Center. The students are expected to express their support and donate blood (Optional).

The players are cornerback Willie Smith, linebacker Willis Solomon, Linebacker Dominic Peters, defensive lineman Alonzo Shuler, offensive lineman Jabari Ellison, quarterback Royton Williams and offensive lineman Ben Trapp.

The visits are being sponsored by SAFEO (Student Athletes for Educational Opportunities). This initiative will continue SAFEO’s quest to illustrate that student athletes are intelligent and concerned about their communities at large.

NOTE: On Oct. 13, 2001, the Benedict College Football Team will play at Howard University in Washington, DC.
