Stillman stormed back to defeat the Lady Tigers 63 - 62
The Lady Tigers of Benedict College faced-off against Stillman College and tried to extend their winning streak and remain among the top three seeds of the SIAC. Early on in the game, Coach Felicia Jenkins switched in substitutes to keep the high intense pace of the game and drive Stillman to a rapid fatigue. During the first half senior forward, Charvez Holmes took control of the game scoring 16 points and grabbing four rebounds. Holmes' first half sharp shooting also made her 3 for 6 from three point land. Speedy guard, Bridgette Williams also added 8 points during half and kept the fast tempo alive. Brittany Jackson and Chelsea Passante also added six points each to give the Lady Tigers a 20 point lead at the half.
During the second half although the Stillman Tigers were down by 20 it didn't seem to stop their fight in staying in the game. With five minutes left on clock the Stillman cut the Tigers lead to 6 points. As Stillman kept pressing on they eventually got the score down to a one point deficit, the score was 62-61. Coach Jenkins used her last time out with only two minutes on the clock and worked up a play that was centered on Alexus Jones. The play failed due to Stillman's sound defense. With only : 11 seconds remaining in the game Stillman's Jamilla Mckinnis made a lay-up that put Stillman ahead. The finals score of the game was Stillman 63, Benedict 62.
