BC Lady Tigers Cruised to an 83 - 56 Victory over Clark Atlanta University
After the Holiday Break, the Lady Tigers returned with vicious anticipation and aggressive defensive tenacity as they hit the hardwood against the Lady Panthers of Clark Atlanta University. The Tigers entered into the match up 4-0 in the SIAC and 6-2 overall. Coach Jenkins and the Lady Tigers used their defensive play to force Clark Atlanta to turn the ball over 11 times during the first half. Senior captain Charvez Holmes led the Lady Tigers with 7 points and was 4-4 from the free-throw line. Alexus Jones added another 5 points while Ashlee Jones grabbed 5 rebounds to help the Lady Tigers.
During the second half Coach Jenkins kept the pressure on the Lady Panthers with a press style defense that proved to be too much for the Lady Panthers. Before the end of the game the Lady Tigers would tack on another 50 points to etch a notch in the win column. Alexus Jones led the scoring attack for the night with 14 points and Monique Weathers added another 13points. Anika Ross and Bridget Williams each scored 10 points to assist the Lady Tigers on the night. Brittany Jackson grabbed seven rebounds and totaled nine points. Final score of the game was 83-56. The Lady Tigers improved their record to 5-0 SIAC and 7-2 overall.
