Valentine's Day was a heart break for the Lady Tigers in their lost to Tuskegee University Golden Tigers

This Valentine's Day was one of a mere heart break as the Lady Tigers were crippled by the Golden Tigers of Tuskegee University as they aimed for another victory in the Benjamin E. Mays Arena.

In the first half, guards Brittany Harvard, Kathleen Elam, Sharita Motley, and Charvez Holmes scored 6 points. Latonya Brathwhite was able to attack the boards and snagged 4 rebounds. This concluded at half with Benedict 36 and Tuskegee 30.

The second half was turned up a notch as the Golden Tigers of Tuskegee defensively attacked the court. Holmes was still working the hardwood as she scored 12 points, along with Elam and Motley scoring 11 points. Ariel Gilliam stepped up and grabbed 6 rebounds and shot (2-2) at the free throw line.

Although the Lady Tigers had an 87.5 free throw shooting percentage at the half and a 76.9 percentage ending, the Ladies succumbed to a defeat with Benedict 60 and Tuskegee 75.

Come and support your Lady Tigers at their next home game Saturday, Feb. 16th as they take on the Stillman College Tigers in the Benjamin E. Mays Arena at 2:00 p.m.
