Lady Tigers Fall Short against Fort Valley State

The Benedict Lady Tigers fell 14 points shy of a win against Fort Valley Wildcats on Saturday, January 19, 2008 in the Benjamin E. Mays Arena. Nadia Fleming led the offensive attack with 16 points and controlled the boards with 13 rebounds.  Latoya Brathwhite added 10 points and 6 rebounds however it would not be enough to stop the Wildcats of Fort valley State. At the half, the score was 29-35 with Fort Valley in the lead by 6 points. At the close of the game the lady Tigers concluded a 36 percentage shooting rate and turned the ball over 28 times. KaDeidra Freeland led the Wildcats with 18 points and three rebounds.

Final score: Benedict 55 - Fort Valley 69.
