Kentucky State Thorobrettes Top Benedict Lady Tigers
In their first Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game of the season, the BC Lady Tigers couldn't find a rhythm to defeat the Thorobrettes of Kentucky State University (KSU). The Lady Tigers out rebounded KSU, however could not seem to find the basket on a consistent basis. As a team, during the first-half, BC only shot 27 percent from the field. Kathleen Elam, Nadia Fleming, and Charvez Holmes all led the offensive effort scoring 8 points each on the night. Utivia Barnes pulled down 12 rebounds and recorded 7 points. Although the effort was great, it wasn't enough to stop Jessica Vaughn of KSU from scoring a high of 15 total points. KSU's Latrice Watkins added 14 and Mattie Jones also dropped 12 baskets on the night. The Lady Tigers loss leaves them with a 0-1 SIAC record and 0-3 overall. Their next match-up will be December 3, 2007 at 5:30 against the Lane College Lady Blue Dragons in Columbia, SC.
