Benedict Tigerettes Extinguish Lane College Lady Dragons

[BC Sports Information] On the road in Jackson, Tennessee, the Benedict Tigerette basketball team put out the fire of the Lane College Lady Blue Dragons in their first conference match-up. The Lady Dragons entered the match-up undefeated and left with an L to add to their 2006-07 results. Despite 22 turnovers and only hitting 15 of 27 free-throw attempts, the BC Tigerettes outscored the Lady Dragons with a deficit of 15 points. Valarie McQueen was 4 for 6 from behind the arch and on the free-throw line. She recorded a team high of 26 points in the defeat over Lane College. Aja Trotter added 18 points and grabbed total of 4 rebounds. Senior center, Christy Yusef, brought down a total of 10 rebounds and added 6 points on the night.
