Gibbs Powers Benedict Passed Lane Blue Dragons
After pounding Kentucky State University two nights ago, Coach Fred Watson and his vicious Tiger squad continued on their feast by extinguishing the fire of the Lane College Blue Dragons. Charles Gibbs, a native of Pontiac, SC was the sharp-shooter of the night raining 4-4 from behind the arcs and 9-12 on the hardwood. Gibbs totaled a game high score of 22 points on the night. Martinez Woody, the defensive gem of the Tigers' recorded 10 rebounds and smashed 8 blocks. He also contributed 16 points from the floor. Dakin "Dunkin" Braddick added to the excitement shooting 4-6 from the floor, 5-5 from the foul line, with 6 rebounds and 3 blocks. Braddick totaled 13 points at the end of the match-up. Bennie Lewis would also put-up double digits scoring 10 points and 2 assists. The Tiger's improved their record to 2-0 SIAC and 4-1 overall. The Tiger's next home game is against Miles College on January 1, 2007 at 7:30 p.m.
