2011 Daktronics All-Region Men's Basketball Team - Second Team
Marcus Goode (Center, 6'10", SO, Chapin, SC) The 6'10 Center from Chapin, SC was named to the Second Team All-Region-All-American team. Goode, led the Tigers in scoring with a 17 point average and 11.8 average in rebounds and 3.4 in blocks which led the conference. The 6-10 sophomore center has received several honors this season including first team All-SIAC selection, SIAC Player of the Year, SIAC Newcomer of the Year, and SIAC All-Tournament team selection. Goode helped lead #24 Benedict (21-7 overall, 20-4 SIAC) to their first SIAC regular season title since 2008 and a berth in the NCAA tournament.

2010-2011 SIAC Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year Marcus Goode, a native of Chapin, SC, was the fourth leading scorer in the SIAC, averaging 17.4 points per game. The 6-10 sophomore center also averaged 11.7 rebounds and 3.8 blocks per game, both of which led the SIAC, while helping lead Benedict to the men's regular season title.
2010-2011 Coach of the Year: Fred Watson
2010-2011 SIAC Men's Coach of the Year Fred Watson led the Tigers to a 20-4 conference record, 20-6 overall, and their first regular season title since 2008. Watson also led the Tigers to a number three ranking in NCAA South Region.

On Tuesday, February 22, 2011, the Benedict College Tigers, Men clinched the 2010 - 2011 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) regular-season basketball championship by defeating Morehouse College 72 - 63 at home (Columbia, SC).
