These two former players of the BC Tigers (BC Class of 2009) are playing professional basketball overseas: Martinis Woody with the Iserlohn Kangaroos in Germany and Bennie Lewis with the Melbourne Tigers in Australia.

BC is first in men basketball attendance among Black Colleges ... see 2009 Black College Basketball Attendance Numbers.

At the WBA Exposure League tryouts held on April 17-18 at Agnes Scott College in Decatur GA, Darius Lane, David Wine, Martinis Woody and Bennie Lewis (BC Basketball Players) were drafted (Darius Lane signed). The Tryout Camp's "Most Outstanding Player" was BC's own 6'7, 202 lb Bennie Lewis. The mission of the WBA Exposure League (hereafter known as the WBA) is to teach, develop, and expose basketball players to NBA, NBDL, CBA, and International Scouts.

NCAA Division II South Regional in Lakeland, FL (host by Florida Southern College):
Sun., Mar. 14, 2009: BC Men (#5) vs. Arkansas Tech (#4), Score; 62 - 63 (L - Eliminated).

The Basketball Team, Men has earned playoff bid for the 2009 NCAA Division II Basketball Championships for the 4th consecutive year.

76th SIAC Men's Basketball Tournament:
Fri., Mar. 6, 2009: BC Men (#2) vs. Kentucky State (#10), Score: 90 - 63 (W).
Sat., Mar. 7, 2009: BC Men (#2) vs. Lane College (#3), Score; 63 - 64 (L - Eliminated).

Basketball Team, Men are ranked #14 in the NABC Division II Coaches Poll (National Rankings) and #4 in Division II South Regional (as of 03/10/2009).

The Tigers Basketball Team, Men finished the 2008-2009 season with a record of 24 - 5 (21 - 3 Conference).
