2007 - 2008 Highlights

The Tigers Basketball Team, Men finished the 2007-2008 season with a record of 28 - 5 (20 - 2 Conference).

On Tuesday, February 19, 2008, the Benedict College Tigers, Men clinched the 2007 - 2008 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) regular-season basketball championship (3rd consecutive year) by defeating Albany State University 64 - 44 in Albany, GA.

Thu., Mar. 6, 2008, BC Men vs. Albany State University, Score: 73 - 69 (W - 2OT).

Sat., Mar. 8, 2008, BC Men vs. Clark Atlanta University, Score: 81 - 57 (W).

Sun., Mar. 9, 2008, BC Men vs. Tuskegee University, Score: 74 - 69 (W OT - Championship Final).

2008 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championship - South Region (Location: Lakeland, FL):

Sat., Mar. 15, 2008, #2 BC Men vs. #7 Eckerd College, Score: 70 - 49 (W). Note: BC is the first SIAC team to advance to the second round of the NCAA Playoffs since the 1991 Morehouse team that advanced to the NCAA Semi-Finals.

Sun., Mar. 16, 2008, #2 BC Men vs. #3 University of Tampa, Score: 73 - 59 (W).

Tue., Mar. 18, 2008 at 7:00pm, #2 BC Men vs. #4 University of North Alabama, Score: 75 - 97 (L - Regional Championship Final ... "Gun down by long range missiles ... 3-pointers").  Note: It was a great ride and the team made history. "We shall return next year!"

Basketball Team, Men are ranked #8 in the NABC Division II Men's Coaches Poll (National Rankings as of 03/10/2008).

Basketball Team, Men are ranked #2 in the NCAA Division II South Region (as of 03/09/2008).

Basketball Team, Men are ranked #1 in the Final BCSP (Black College Sports Page) Top 10 (as of 04/02/2008).
