About the 2010 Benedict College Baseball Team, did you know?

Did you know that the 2010 Benedict College Baseball Team accomplished the following?

  • Broke a 23 year old NCAA National Record for Team Stolen Bases. The former record for Team Stolen Bases in a season was held by St. Leo of Florida. They stole 291 bases in 1987. The 2010 Running "Tigers" set a new National Record with 316 stolen bases. Not only did this shatter the old record, but the next best team in the nation stole 191 bases which was Albany State.
  • Won the SIAC Batting title with a .355 Team batting average (ranked us 13th nationally).
  • Won the SIAC Defensive Title with a .944 fielding percentage.
  • Placed in the top 25 in 14 of 25 offensive and defensive categories nationally.
  • Led all NCAA Divisions 1, 2 and 3 in stolen bases the past two seasons.
  • Led the nation in stolen bases per game for the past two years: 5.96 in 2010 and 6.06 in 2009. BC has stolen 507 bases in the past two years.
