Gibson Selected to play in HBCU All-Star Game

[Columbia, SC] 2010 2nd Annual Russell Athletic HBCU Bowl is set for December 18, 2010 in the Georgia Dome
Senior defensive back Marquez Gibson was selected to play in the HBCU All-Star Game in Atlanta, GA on December 18, 2010. Gibson is a native of Augusta, Georgia, he is a first team all SIAC defensive back for the Tigers. Gibson currently leads the Tigers with five interceptions and also has 38 solo tackles and 18 assist thru the Tigers first 10 games with one game remaining. The Tigers will travel to Atlanta this weekend for their final game of the season against Clark-Atlanta University.
The highly-anticipated all-star game will feature players from all Historically Black Colleges and University (HBCU). Tickets for the game went on sale, October 1 and are available www.ticketmaster.com. For more information about the HBCU Bowl, log on to www.hbcubowl.com.
The Russell Athletic HBCU Bowl was created for the HBCU Football Student Athlete as a reward for outstanding work that senior players have displayed throughout their collegiate career. It has also been developed as tool for these players to display their talent against the best HBCU football players in the country, in front of (32) NFL professional teams and personnel, along with the CFL and UFL.
