Mission Statement

Student Affairs is committed to the concept of "Students First" that contributes to the mission of Benedict College by providing programs, extra-curricula activities and services for students and the college community. The Division seeks to enhance quality of life for students; to facilitate intellectual, ethical and personal growth; promote a safe living environment; and to create a culture that engenders respect for human diversity. The primary goals of Student Affairs are as follows:

• Create a positive living learning environment to promote greater learning and
  healthy life styles.
• Maintain a safe and secure campus.
• Provide expanded opportunities through seminar series, internships, service learning
  and other activities for every student to develop professionally.
• Develop a full range of inter-collegiate men and women's sports capable of being
  fully competitive while fully complying with all NCAA and NAIA regulations.
• Create more opportunities for students to achieve greater social, personal, cultural,
  spiritual, and moral awareness and development.
