April 2, 2008
Dear Prospective Benedict College Student:
I am pleased that you have chosen Benedict College as the next step in your pursuit of a higher education. You have made the right choice--one that will benefit you intellectually, socially, and spiritually.
As a prospective student at Benedict College, you are required to take the Freshman Placement Test (FPT) in reading comprehension, writing skills, and mathematics applications. If you have taken either French or Spanish in high school, you must also take the French or Spanish placement test. Transfer students may need to take all or part of the placement test. Upon completion of the test, most students will receive a class schedule.
The Summer 2008 Freshman Placement Test /Parent Orientation schedule is as follows:
DATE Time June 14, 2008 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. June 28, 2008 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. July 12, 2008 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
(If the above dates are inconvenient, call (803) 705-4593 to schedule a different time to take the test.)

Indicate on the response form if you have special educational needs and specify your special need as it applies to taking this test. You will receive confirmation of the date you've selected.
When you come to take the test, It is important that you arrive to testing on time in order to receive all test instructions and material. You should bring two sharpened #2 pencils. Calculators are not allowed.
