Army ROTC Scholarships

The Army ROTC Scholarships Program offers financial assistance to outstanding young men and women who are interested in the Active Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserve. These Scholarships pay full tuition and academic fees, and provide a flat rate for books and supplies. Although Army ROTC scholarships do not pay the cost of room and board, each scholarship recipient is awarded free room and board at Benedict College. Each scholarship recipient also receives a tax-exempt monthly stipend. Applicants must be U. S. citizens, in the upper 25 percent of their senior class, score at least 850 on the Scholastic Aptitude Test or 19 on the ACT, possess leadership potential and good moral character, and be oriented toward the Army. The Four-Year Award is valued at approximately $15,012. Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA to retain full-time status.

The three-year scholarship valued at approximately $9,000 is available to freshmen who have completed no more than one semester of full-time study. Two-year scholarships, valued at approximately $5,000 are available to sophomores who have completed no more than three semesters of full-time study. In addition to the scholarships referred to above, the students accepted for enrollment in the ROTC Advanced Course receive a $150 monthly stipend that totals approximately $3,000 during the junior and senior years.
