Office of Institutional ScholarshipsKellogg African American Public Health Fellowship and Development ProgramThe W.K. Kellogg Fellowship and Development Program invites applications for support of the program's Research Network component. These grants will provide funding for research and training activities related to building research networks to increase interactive health disparities. The scope of research to be supported by this program will be very broad, including basic research, clinical research, social science research, health care delivery research, translational and community intervention research. Funds in the awards program are not intended to supplement ongoing studies. They are to support development of new applications. The W. K. Kellogg Research Award seeks to increase the number of competitive research applications addressing racial and ethnic health disparities that can be submitted for federal funding (NIH, USDA, CDC, HRSA, AHRQ) and that involve collaborations between researchers at the Arnold School of Public Health at the University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC and one or more of the six four-year Historically Black Colleges or Universities in South Carolina. The purpose of the awards program is to both foster collaborative research that is interdisciplinary in approach, and that advances understanding of health disparities. This awards program is a mechanism to support writing applications for federal funding and the activities needed to do so. The scope of the research to be supported by this program will be very broad, including basic research, clinical research, social science research, health care delivery research, translational and community intervention research.
