Types of Financial Aid

The college participates in the following federal and state student financial aid programs:

Federal Pell Grant
Federal Parent Loan
Federal Direct Stafford Loans
Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant
South Carolina Tuition Grant
Federal Perkins Loan
Federal Work Study
South Carolina LIFE Scholarship Programs
Palmetto Scholarships Program

In addition, the college offers a Work-Study program, and administers a scholarship program.

All financial aid awards are based on need, as determined by the Student Aid Report and other regulations supplied to the college student. At least one month prior to the beginning of the term, each eligible student receives, in the form of an award letter, a financial package consisting of one or more of the following: grants, loans, work-study, and scholarships.
