Governmental
Affairs
The objectives of the Governmental
Affairs area are as follows:
- Monitor potential, proposed, and actual state legislation
that would have an impact on the college. (SD 6; CG 27)
- Systematically inform legislators and government officials
of relevant concerns and needs of the College. (SD 6; CG 27)
- Systematically inform the College constituents (administration,
faculty, staff, students, alumni, and church constituency) of potential,
proposed,
and actual legislative and governmental actions that impact the
college. (SD 6; CG 27)
- Facilitate productive interactions between the College
constituents (administration, faculty, staff, students alumni, and
church constituency)
and government. (SD 6; CG27
- Maintain the government al Relations Council through
which students may enhance their development of personal and professional
skills
in the areas of governmental awareness, leadership, communication,
and attitudes. (SD 3; CG7)
