Program Description

The Educational Talent Search program is committed to preparing and motivating students for post-secondary education and as such offers curricular and co-curricular activities designed to this end. The goals of the program are: to provide academic and enrichment opportunities to middle school students who have the potential to succeed in post-secondary education; to provide academic, financial, and career counseling to middle school students regarding secondary education; and to encourage and assist students and their parents in developing the skills and motivation to complete high school and pursue a post-secondary education.

Program's Unique Features

Special efforts will be made to address the needs of the growing Latino population. Technology will be integrated in all aspects of the program to improve the information literacy of all participants and staff members. The services provided will include, but not limited to: mentoring, tutorials, workshops for students and parents on college admissions, financial assistance, and standardized testing preparation.
