21st Century Community Learning Center

Program Description

The 21st Century Community Learning Center is an after-school program that offers curricular and co-curricular activities that provide holistic experiences designed to enhance academic, social and cultural development while establishing and maintaining partnerships and relations with the community. The goals of the program are: to provide academic, financial, and career counseling to middle school students with regards to education; to provide tutorials and a structured format for assisting with homework assignments; to provide comprehensive instruction and tools to enhance standardized test-taking skills; and to encourage and assist students and their parents in developing the skills and motivation to complete high school and pursue a post-secondary education.

Program's Unique Features

The program will have two components: the after-school format that will offer academic sessions, homework assistance, parent workshops and career counseling; and the summer session that will be a summer-residential PACT Preparation Academy that will be housed on Benedict College 's campus.
