The Department of Special Summer Programs (DSSP) is responsible for the coordination of summer programs offered by different units at Benedict College. DSSP sponsors more than 20 programs and projects for young people, ages 4-19. The programs include:

1. Youth Leadership Institute
2. HPER Recreation Day Camp
3. Language Arts Camp
4. Middle School Laboratory Science and Mathematics Enrichment Program
5. The Benedict College South Carolina Access to Minority Participation (SCAMP) Summer Science Enrichment Program
6. Minority Access to Teacher Education
7. Benedict College Basketball Camp
8. Project Upward Bound GEAR UP
9. Benedict College Tennis Camp
10. Benedict College Golf Camp
11. Benedict College Swimming Camp
12. Stan Conner Football Camp
