To examine issues affecting children and families, business and economic development, democracy and government, and educational excellence through research, public service, and teaching. By partnering with communities, our efforts will provide state of knowledge programs and services to assist in the design and promotion of public policies that impact African Americans.

The Benedict College Division of Community Development will be nationally recognized as a premier institution that will focus on the empowerment of the African American community.
