The Mission

The Benedict College Business Development Center provides space, supervision and assistance to newly formed businesses (Incubator); the Benedict College Economic development and Technical Assistance Center (EDTAC), the Benedict Entrepreneurial Development Program (BEDP), and the Benedict One-Stop Capital Shop (BOCS).

Benedict College Business Development Center plans to create a model business development program for the African American community.  The Center is a department within the division of Community Development at Benedict College and will operate as a non-profit entity designed to assist the community.

The Vision

The Benedict College Business Development Center assisting the African American communities in Columbia, in South Carolina and the nation to increase the number of business ownerships and the accumulation of wealth.
