Business Development Center

The goal of the Business Development Center is to increase the number of African American owned businesses in and around the state.  The Center is located on the corner of Two Notch Road and Read Street on a parcel of land donated to Benedict College by the Pepsi Cola Bottling.  The 25,000 square foot Center houses a business incubator for small businesses, a minority development entrepreneurial development program, and other programs in the division of Community Development.

The Business Development Center provides hands-on training by the staff of Benedict College.  All businesses housed in the incubator have access to clerical assistance, a print shop, a communications center, and a revolving loan fund.  Current and potential business owners at large are eligible to participate in workshops and seminars to help them become more effective and efficient in delivering services.
