SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Benedict College Office of Educational Support Services Unit under the direct supervision of the Director of Educational Support Services seeks a Mathematics Learning Specialist to collaborate with classroom instructors to assist students in developing mathematics skills. A Learning Specialist also provides tutorial and group support to students in math courses and related activities to supplement classroom instruction.

POSITION: Computing Lab Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Management Information Systems SALARY: Part-time position commensurate with background and experience.

The successful candidate will work primarily with students and staff in the development, implementation, security, support and maintenance of the Benedict College Computing Labs. POSITION: Technology Technician

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least nineteen (19) years of age, in the process of becoming professionally prepared to be a teacher of young children, and meet the requirements of the licensing agency. MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

POSITION: Assistant Athletic Director for Operations and Development/SWA

The Assistant Athletic Director of Operations and Development/Senior Women's Administrator serves as the day-to-day administrator for the athletics department and reports to the Athletic Director. The AAD/SWA is responsible for supporting the efforts of the Athletic Director in managing the Athletic Department and all of its programs. The AAD/SWA position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for identification, cultivation and solicitation of prospective donors and grant funding. Provide support to all women student-athletes at Benedict College. Coordinate and/or provide administrative support for coaches of all women's sports. Represent Benedict College at Senior Women's Administrator (SWA) meetings of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

- In the absence of the Athletic Director represents the Benedict College Athletic Department at selected state, local and conference meetings.
- Development of a comprehensive annual fund program, coordination of special event fund-raising activities and major gift and grant prospect identification.
- Assist Director of Athletics with Title IX compliance.
- Coordinate services for female athletes to include tutoring, advising or referring to appropriate resources.
- Oversee budget development and personnel administration for assigned program area.
- Assists in the preparation of the annual Athletic Budget.
- Assists in the development of positive working relationships with the media, parents, school employees and community members as directed by the Athletic Director.
- Serve as liaison between the community and Intercollegiate Athletics; provide requested information for assigned program area.
- Assists in the arrangements for all athletic contests.
- Serves as Coordinator of Student Athletic Advisory Committee and CHAMPS LifeSkills program.
- Promotes school participation and spirit in all athletic contests by informing the school community of dates, times and locations via bulletins, promotions, etc.
- Organizes, plans and conducts pre-game and half time activities through promotions, give-a-ways and special activities.
- Serve on various department, division, and University committees.
- Coordinates activities of various booster clubs.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates should possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree; master's degree preferred but not required and one to three years experience in athletics administration and/or fund raising. An undergraduate degree is desirable for the successful candidate. All candidates must be willing to work flexible hours. Advanced study and/or recent experiences in administrative organization and leadership are essential, as is demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and computer knowledge, knowledge of NCAA rules, experience with fund raising, grant writing, development, and administration, and experience in administration or management of development programs; strong written, computer and verbal communication skills; ability to motivate and train volunteers; and be committed to working with a diverse group of constituents.

SUPERVISOR'S TITLE: Executive Vice President DIVISION: Institutional Advancement DEPARTMENT: Office of the Executive Vice President SALARY: Commensurate with Experience
BASIC JOB FUNCTION: This position is responsible for assisting the Executive Vice President of Institutional Advancement with the overall and day-to-day coordination and integration of all Institutional Advancement business/departmental processes which are divided into the following areas: Administration, Major Gifts, Annual Fund, Alumni Relations, Stewardship, Technology and Gift Administration. Responsibilities include (1) management of research and cultivation planning activities for major gift prospects, (2) managing all Institutional Advancement cabinet and other team meetings, (3) completing special prospect or donor research and task oversight of the Advancement component of the College's strategic plan, (4) principal liaison with the Office of the President and program manager for development activities that support the Board of Trustees, Development Committee, President and the Executive Vice President prospect readiness, moves management and other preparation requirements, (5) planning, development and finalization of all comprehensive Advancement reports and grants, (6) and coordinating the flow of work between all advancement operational units, performance tracking and quarterly reporting in connection with the $1M Kresge/UNCF capacity grant.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must have achieved a master's level degree;
- Expertise knowledge of all Microsoft applications;
- High producer with strong inner work standards;
- Supervisory experience;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Strategic thinking and management ability;
- Strong project management skills;
- Effective working knowledge of fund raising processes and techniques.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCES:
- Past history of working in a strong team environment with minimal supervision required;
- Grant writing experience essential.
