Columbia, SC -- September 9, 2016 -- Benedict College recently was awarded full re-accreditation for its Environmental Health Science Program from the National Environmental Health Science and Protection Accreditation Council (EHAC) for a term of six years. The Council found that Benedict College EHS program to be a solid undergraduate environmental health academic program that turns out alumni well prepared in the principles and practice of environment health. EHAC will conduct its next evaluation of the program in 2022.

Columbia, SC -- April 28, 2016 -- The Benedict College Spring Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2016 will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2016, at the Charlie W. Johnson Stadium located on Two Notch Road and Read Street in Columbia, South Carolina. Mrs. Billye Suber Aaron, wife of baseball legend Hank Aaron, will deliver the keynote address during the College’s 146th Commencement Exercises.

Columbia, SC -- MISTER Damon Qualls, a distinguished Benedict College graduate, who was among the inaugural Call Me MISTER graduates in 2004, continues to be a trailblazer for South Carolina children and educators. Last week, it was announced that Qualls was selected to participate in the prestigious Harvard University’s Improving Schools: The Art of Leadership Institute program. Mr. Qualls is currently the Assistant Principal of Berea Middle School in Greenville, SC.
