CLEVELAND -- The Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA) announced the 2011-12 recipients of the D2ADA Academic Achievement Awards, which included 17 student-athletes from Benedict College. The Academic Achievement Awards is a program that recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division 2 level.
Top-seed Benedict needed overtime to beat back a determined charge from seventh-seed Tuskegee to defeat the Tigers 74-69 to take their third men's SIAC Tournament title in the last five years in Birmingham Sunday evening.
